Where It All Began

Here, we take a look at the first ever Break Mission back in January 2012. It was held in the Z-Arts Centre (formerly known as Zion Arts Centre) in Hulme, Manchester. To be perfectly honest, myself and David really did not know what to expect. The turn out was incredible and the energy in that room was electric from start to finish. Some of the highlights of that particular event for me personally was the cypher battle between Pepito (7$) and LB (Smac 19) as well as the introduction of the young Bgirls Terra and Eddie onto the UK dance scene. They really showed people what they are about at that young age and they went all the way to the semi final before losing to eventual winners Flo and Zorro (Ghetlow Pirates). Personally, this edition of Break Mission will always be the most memorable one for me just because this is where it all began and where everything started. So it is only fitting to start the Throwback series with this one. To think of how far Break Mission has come since then it's really mind blowing to me. I would like to take this opportunity to also thank every single one of you for supporting our movement since day 1; you all know who you are. Thank you and here is to many more.
